CP Visor Ski Helmet Sizing Guide

Finding the correct helmet size is essential for both comfort and protection. CP visor ski helmets are sized based on head circumference in centimeters (cm) and are designed to provide a precise, secure fit for all-day skiing.

Most CP helmets also feature the CP Size Adapting System, a micro-adjustable dial located at the back of the helmet that allows you to fine-tune the fit while wearing the helmet.

How to Measure Your Head

To determine your helmet size:

  1. Use a soft measuring tape.
  2. Wrap the tape around your head about 2 cm above your eyebrows and just above your ears.
  3. Keep the tape level around your head and snug, but not tight.
  4. Measure the circumference in centimeters (cm).
  5. Compare your measurement to the size chart below.

If your measurement falls between sizes, choosing the larger size typically provides the most comfortable fit.

CP Visor Ski Helmet Size Chart

Size Head Circumference
Small (S) 53 – 55 cm
Medium (M) 56 – 58 cm
Large (L) 59 – 61 cm
Extra Large (XL) 62 – 64 cm

Note: Some CP models offer additional intermediate sizing such as 58–60 cm.

The CP Size Adapting System

Many CP helmets feature the CP Size Adapting System, an integrated dial-adjustment mechanism that allows the internal liner to be fine-tuned for a precise fit.

This system allows adjustment of approximately one full size, helping ensure:

  • A secure and stable fit
  • Increased comfort for long ski days
  • Easy adjustment while wearing gloves

By turning the rear dial, you can quickly tighten or loosen the helmet for optimal comfort and stability.

Fit Tips for CP Visor Helmets

  • The helmet should feel snug and secure, but not tight or uncomfortable.
  • It should sit level on your head, not tilted back.
  • When the chin strap is fastened, the helmet should remain stable when you shake your head.
  • The integrated visor should sit naturally over your face without pressure points.
  • Adjusting Visor Pressure: Small adjustments to the helmet's position, moving it slightly forward or backward, can help regulate how firmly the visor rests against your face.
  • Checking Helmet Fit: A properly fitted helmet should remain securely in place when raising or lowering the visor, without needing to hold the helmet steady with your other hand.

✔ Pro Tip: If you are transitioning from a traditional helmet and goggles setup, visor helmets may initially feel slightly different. After a few runs, most skiers find the integrated visor system more comfortable and convenient.
