The CP Carachillo white visor ski helmet is a hard-shell helmet that is made of one thick, durable shell of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), laid on top of a light polystyrene lining. This means you get a helmet that is highly impact-resistant on the outside and shock-absorbing and insulating on the inside. The Carachillo are among the lightest hard shell helmets  available.
