CP Carachillo Maritime Blue #707
The Carachillo line of visor ski helmets from CP Sports was new for the 2019 ski season, and the Maritime Blue color of the 707 model is new for the 2020 ski season. This is an extremely handsome color that has a lot of style without being flashy or over the top. The Carachillo models are sleek with a bit of a more modern look that appeals to younger skiers and snowboarders.
If you have not tried a visor ski helmet you are in for a treat, first the improved peripheral vision has a significant impact on your skiing over the limited vision of traditional goggles. The visors fog up less than goggles and changing the lenses on the helmet is way easier than any goggles we tried to change the lens on. Not to mention the lens is attached so one less thing to keep track of as you try to get out the door to go skiing. Have you ever tried to put your goggles up on your helmet when riding the chair, doesn’t work so well does it, with the visor ski helmet you just flip it up, no problem.
The Carachillo has some really nice features that make the helmet super versatile. The removable ear pads let you adjust the helmet from full on winter skiing to sunny spring days. The size wheel on the back lets you dial in the fit with one hand, on the fly. The visors are easily changed without tools so you can adjust to the day no problem. It is is a full on powder day with low light we recommend the DL Vario Multi Color, self tanning visor effectively supports and relieves your eyes in changing light conditions and offers 100 % UV protection with an anti fog coating. On super sunny try the days DL Varion Brown Polarized Ice Mirror with a high-grade multiple mirror coating that ensures extremely sharp contrast in any light condition. The polarized layer will drastically reduce glares and reflections of snow and ice. This visor adjusts to the brightness of the day in full sun the shading will increase and the visor will get clearer once the sun disappears.
